


Not every Germanic language is a kind of German. Calling Yiddish or Luxembourgisch or what have you “German dialects” is like calling Swedish “the Scandinavian dialect of German.”
“She’s an Anglophone, she speaks that fucked-up German they have in Britain.”
While your point is valid, “ that fucked-up German they have in Britain.“ is by far the best definition of English out there.
